Baking Basics: Tips and Tricks on Baking

Hi everyone and welcome back to more tips and tricks! Today I will be sharing some tips that

I have with you about making some simple desserts: chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate

covered pretzels.

What you will need:

-Strawberries

-Pretzels

-Chocolate candy melts

-Parchment paper

-Tray

First things first, head to the store to buy your ingredients. Make sure you have your strawberries

and candy melts. It is important to use candy melts instead of regular chocolate because the

regular chocolate will not set properly. The candy melts will harden up and stay together where

as the regular chocolate will melt a lot easier. To start the process, gather your ingredients and wash

your strawberries. Next, let them dry and melt your chocolate candy melts. Then mix the candy melts

until it is totally mixed and melted. Then, dip each strawberry individually, covering all the sides.

Place them on a sheet of parchment paper on top of a tray and put them in the fridge to harden. Then

eat and enjoy!

Chocolate covered pretzels are very similar, except for you do not wash the pretzels first. You can use

any kind of pretzels that you want. I like to use wither the pretzel rods if I am only dipping half of the

pretzel in or the twisted shaped pretzels if I am covering the whole thing. Just melt your candy melts

and dip each pretzel in. You can decide to cover the entire pretzel or dip however much you would

like. Then, place on the parchment paper and stick the tray in the fridge for the candy melts to harden

and then enjoy!

These are two very easy desserts to make and following these tips will make them stand out against

everyone else's desserts. Also, you can decorate them however you want! Be sure to check back next
